COP26 Communiqué Signatory:
As an early adopter of 2030 Commitment in 2009 we analyze, report and endeavor to reduce the EUI of every project in our portfolio. In 2020 our average EUI reduction was 45% across nearly 100 projects and two projects on the boards are expected to achieve the goal 80% reduction. We are starting to educate our staff in embodied carbon and looking to model early to design to decarbonize. An internal research grant allowed the designers working on our new LA office to study the impacts of various material options on the design’s embodied carbon.
