COP26 Communiqué Signatory:

Perkins Eastman

We are committed to designing a better future by enhancing the health and well-being of people, communities, and the planet. We believe that in order to build a more resilient future, we need to design holistically, addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges altogether. We create environments that go beyond reducing environmental degradation to become regenerative, promote community resilience, and enhance the health and wellness for every individual, family, and member of the community. As architects, designers, and planners of the built environment, we have a professional responsibility to combat the largest crises of our era—public health, economic, social justice, and climate change—through better design. As such, we are signatories of the AIA 2030 Challenge, and are actively working to expand on that challenge by addressing carbon and health more holistically in our work by targeting improvements in existing buildings, embodied carbon, material health, and more.
