Where and how we build exerts a powerful force on communities’ capacity to be resilient in the face of severe weather, temperature fluctuations, drought, wildfire, sea level rise, and water intrusion. It’s impossible to confront climate change without addressing the challenges of urban and suburban sprawl— in our cities, suburbs, towns, and rural areas.
